Myanmar National Airline (MNA) and Myanmar Airway International (MAI) will fly the relief flights to New Delhi, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and Dubai for Myanmar citizens to bring back home. MNA will fly the relief flight to Manila in the Philippines on 28 August to bring back Myanmar citizens and will also fly Yangon-New Delhi relief flight on 29 August for Myanmar citizens to come back to their country and for those who will go to India. MAI flew Yangon-Kuala Lumpur relief flight on 26 August and Yangon-Seoul relief flight on 23 August. MAI will also fly Yangon-Dubai relief flights on 1st and 2nd September 2020.
The relief flights have been conducted for 14 times for Myanmar citizens who have difficulty coming back from Singapore, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the suspension of international flights, MAI relief flights brought back a total of 124 Myanmar nationals including 94 from the United States and 30 from the Republic of Korea through Incheon International Airport, the Republic of Korea. They arrived back in the country on 23 August. On arrival at Yangon International Airport, Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, Ministry of Health and Sports and Yangon Region Government provide them with proper medical checks and arrange 21- day quarantine for COVID-19 prevention and control.
