Government employees supplied cash assistance to the people with disabilities in Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region on September 3 on a door-to-door basis amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.


Staff from the Department of Social Welfare and General Administration Department provided K 30,000 each to disabled people in downtown Pantanaw on door-to-door basis and would supply cash assistance to the persons with disabilities through village administrators under the government’s COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan (CERP), said an official.


Pantanaw Township consists of four wards and 52 village-tracts. A total of 537 disabled people in the township would reportedly be provided with over K 16 million at the rate of K 30,000 per person.
