An event to donate K 22.5 million to buy hand basins and medical equipment for 15 shelters was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Pyapon, Ayeyawady Region on September 6.

On the occasion, officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided K 22.5 million to concerned officials. The cash will be spent on purchasing hand basins, fiber tanks, and medical equipment to be installed at 15 cyclone shelters in the township used in combating the spread of deadly coronavirus pandemic.

An official from the DDM presented cash assistance to the township administrator, village administrators and village committee members.
