A landslide occurred on the Waingmaw-Sadon-Kanpaikti Road in Sadon Town, Kachin State on September 7 following incessant rains in the area.
    

Staff from the Department of Road under the Ministry of Construction rushed to the scene of landslide and cleared off the debris with the use of heavy machinery in order to facilitate people travel in a convenient manner. The landslide near milepost 35 on the road caused the temporary suspension of traffic.
    

No casualties were reported in the incident and landslides often occur near the road section in rainy season, said a local.
