A ceremony to provide COVID-19 emergency requirement items to Shan State was held at the meeting room of the office of United Nation Development Program (UNDP) in Mingalar Oo Ward in Taunggyi, Shan State this afternoon.

At the event, U Aung Lin, in charge person of UNDP in Taunggyi handed over PPE suits, glove,      bottles of hand sanitizing gel and face shields worth K 45.0 million to Minister of Bamar Ethnic Affairs Dr. Aung Than Maung amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. UNDP will continue to present COVID-19 emergency requirement items worth K 40.0 million to Shan State government in the coming days.

Also present on the occasion were Minister of Bamar Ethenic Affair Dr. Aung Than Maung, the State medical superintendent Dr. Thuza Chit Tin, U Aung Lin, in charge person of UNDP in Taunggyi, Daw Khin Moe Aye, in charge person of UNICEF in Taunggyi.—District IPRD
