Pakkoku, 17 September
Officials from the Department of Rural Development made a field trip to Shwetanttit Village in Pakkoku Township, Magway Region on September 16 to inspect a rural road being built under the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank.
The rural road measuring 3,690 ft. in length, 10 ft. in width and 2 ft. in thick is under construction by spending K 24 million funded by the ADB. Once completed, the rural road is expected to benefit more than 800 acres of farmland belonging to the locals, enabling them to transport their agricultural products to the markets in a rapid manner.
