A 500-bedded temporary hospital is being created by the Ayeyawady Foundation at Thuwunna Football Stadium in Yangon under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation is carrying out installation of power cables and power lines to distribute electricity to the temporary hospital. The YESC also set up two transformers for the temporary hospital which is expected to receive the patients soon.

The Ministry of Health and Sports would provide healthcare services and treatment for the patients while the Ayeyawady Foundation would arrange food and accommodation for frontline workers and volunteers.

The COVID-19 patients with no symptoms and the positive patients with mild symptoms would be treated at the temporary hospital.
