10 people were injured as a passenger bus overturned in Pinlaung Township in Southern Shan State, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.


The accident occurred between mileposts 62/6 and 62/7 on the Aungban-Loikaw Road near Naungwoe Village in Pinlaung Township at about 3:45 p.m. on 10 November. The passenger bus with 44 people on board was driven by a man named Zaw Min, 36 years old with his coworker Waiyan Lin Oo, 21 years and overturned due to faulty breaking system. 10 people were hurt in the incident.


Among the injured people, three people sustained severe injuries and were sent to a nearby public hospital. Action is being taken against the driver over reckless driving by the police.—MOHA
