A private health insurance company has provided an insurance payout of 100,000 baht to the family of a Myanmar female worker who passed away following a road accident in Thailand, according to the Office of the Labour Attaché.

 

The office released a statement on 26 March, confirming that payment was made to family members of Ma Khin Hnin Wai who sustained fatal injuries in a vehi­cle accident in Mae Sot, Thailand.

 

The office emphasized its ongoing commitment to ensuring that Myanmar workers receive the legal compensation and benefits they are entitled to. On 9 March, the Myanmar Labour Attaché and officials met the Director General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare (DLPW) of Thailand on strength­ening bilateral cooperation regarding labour affairs.
