Thirteen people are dead and more than 140 are still missing after a passenger boat sank in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The accident occurred on Monday on Lake Kivu, which lies on the border with Rwanda.
Local authorities say more than 30 people have been rescued.
President Felix Tshisekedi said on Thursday that rescue workers are continuing to search for the missing.
Boats are the main form of transport in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and accidents are common.
Tshisekedi blamed what he called the greed of boat operators. He pledged to take measures to prevent a recurrence.
