13 women were injured as a light truck they are on was hit by a truck in Nyaungdon Township, Ayeyawady Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The accident occurred between mileposts 23/2 and 23/3 on the Pathein-Yangon Road near Nyaungsauk Village, Nyaungdon Township. A truck driven by a man identified as Than Lin Naing rear ended a light truck with 13 women, leading to a multiple traffic accident. The truck driver fled the scene of accident and 13 women from the light truck sustained minor injuries in the incident. The injured people were transferred to a nearby public hospital.
The local police launched an investigation into the case and sought help in hunting for the driver who is still at large.—MOHA
