Lawksawk 6 July

A monsoon tree planting ceremony was held nearby the Innkhaung Lake in Lawksawk, Shan State (south) this morning.

On the occasion, Township Administrator, departmental personnel, social organization, local residents, students and teachers planted different kinds of shady trees at the precinct.

A total of 1,500 saplings were planted in the monsoon season, said an official from the Township Department of Forestry.
