A total of 150000 fish fingerlings were released into Yinnyein Creek on 20 September to further restore the biodiversity of the creek in Yinnyein Village in Paung Township, Mon State.

 

U Min Min, Deputy Director of Thaton District Fisheries Department, the Township Deputy Administrator U Kyaw Myo Hlaing, the Township Polish chief Police Major Than Maraung, departmental officials and locals attended the event and jointly released 150000 fingerlings including 70000 ngamyitchin, 50000 ngakhunma and 30000 Shwewarngakyin into the creek.

 

As of September 20, a total of 1.0 million have been released into natural lakes, rivers and creeks for preventing the extinction of fish species in the Township, according to the Township Department of fisheries.—Nadi(IPRD)
