Hlaingbwe 26 December

A ceremony to launch 16-day campaign against gender-based violence to mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was held at Hlaingbwe Township General Administration Department in Kayin State this morning.

At the ceremony, Deputy Township Administrator gave opening remarks and officials clarified the history and purpose of the 16-Day Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence as well the laws that prevent the rights of women. 

The global campaign titled “Generation Equality Stands against Rape” started on 25 November and continues until 10 December.   Khin San Myint (IPRD)
