The Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is implementing 16 water supply projects in villages of three townships in Gangaw District.

A total of 16 water supply projects are being implemented with K 191.36 million allocated by the government. Of them, construction of a 5000-gallon brick water tank in Ywatha village, Saw Township, construction of an earth lake and spillway in Gyaukgit village are nearing completion, according to U Win Aung from the district rural development department.

The projects including the digging of wells, construction of earth lakes, installation of water pipelines, construction of a 2400-gallon overhead water tank and a 5000-gallon brick water tank and others are being undertaken.
