With a view to boosting tourism in Thandaunggyi area in Kayin state, a coordination meeting was held at the 100-years-old castle in the town of Thandaunggyi, yesterday morning.
At the event, Naw Mar Mar Cho, chairman of Thandaunggyi area tourism development committee, made a speech. To negotiate with relevant organizations to guarantee the safety of foreign and local travellers arriving in the area, to put up signs warning travellers not to go to unsafe places for their own safety, to urge food and beverage businesses to sell travellers local cuisines and traditional handicrafts, to explore new tourist attraction sites were on the agenda.
The meeting was also attended by Thandaunggyi town administrator U Kyaw Kyaw Win, local businessmen and U Saw Phalae Sae from KNU, it it learnt.— Township IPRD
