188 Myanmar citizens returned to motherland from Thailand through No.2 Friendship Bridge in Tachilek, Shan State on 23 June.
The returnees were welcomed by Shan State MP U Sai Lone San Khat, Township Administrator U Chan Myae Saw and concerned officials. The returnees were conducted medical checkups and got temperature check by health officials. Medical examination for swab from the returnees who came back home on 15 June is yet to know. They were quarantined at a religious edifice and foodstuff is supplied by well-wishers, said U Myint Naing, Deputy Commissioner.
The returnees who served prison term in Thailand for violation of offenses were also provided clothes, transportation charges and food by donors from Tachilek, he added.
