Two people were injured after a car overturned and caught fire in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The accident took place between mileposts 12/7 and 13 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region at about 11:10 p.m. on 15 December. A car driven by a man identified as Kyaw Tin Win, 38 years old crashed into a concrete median strip, overturned and caught fire after he lost control of the car. The car was badly damaged by the fire which had ceased 20 minutes later.

The driver and his colleague named Ma Myo Myint Zarni Thein, 37 years old received minor injuries and were sent to a public hospital in Hlegu Township. The driver is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.—MOHA
