With the aim of increasing fish resources and promoting fish production, the Department of Fisheries held a fish planting ceremony at the Kyibin Port in Kanna Ward in Zalun Township, Ayeyarwady Region on July 28. 

On the occasion, Chairman of the Hinthada District Administration Council U Myint Than Win and members, Chairman of the Zalun Township Administration Council U Tun Tun Lin and members, staff officer of the District Fisheries Department U Soe Paing, staff officer of the Township Fisheries Department Daw Min Min Soe and staff and departmental officials attended the event and released a total of 200,000 fish species into the Irrawaddy River.—Weiyan (Zlun IPRD)
