In order to successfully complete the 2019 interim census conducting works, a census is being carried out in the 15 designated spots in the township starting from January 2, according to U Aung Zaw Tint, head of Pwint Phyu Township Immigration and Population Department.

In Pwint Phyu township, the interim census conducting is scheduled to finish on January 15. Under the close supervision of U Aung Zaw Tint, a team of nine trained staff yesterday carefully carried out census under computer assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) system using mobile tablets.

According to U Aung Zaw Tint, the aim of the interim census is to study the change in census, comparing the 2019 interim census with the census conducted in 2014, to obtain necessary indexes needed in implementing Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP).—Ye Win Naing (Nyaung-U)
