To review the effect of social network on the society a “2020 and Effect of Social Network – Social Media Forum 2019” was held at Thingaha Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

Ministry of Transport and Communications Permanent Secretary U Soe Thein first delivered an opening address.

The forum includes talks under the titles “Challenges and effects of social network in Myanmar” and “Good practices in using social network.”

In the talk titled “Challenges and effects of social network in Myanmar” presenter and master of ceremony Ma Phyo Phyo Khaing led the discussion with Mandalay City Development Committee member Mandalay Smart City Chief Officer U Ye Myat Thu, Pyithu Hluttaw representatives for Natogyi constituency U Naing Htoo Aung, The Voice Journal/Living Color Media publisher and CEO U Zeya Thu, Kanbawza Bank Managing Director U Zaw Lin Aung and Miss Universe Myanmar 2013 Moe Sat Wine participating in the discussion.

Similarly the talk titled “Good practices in using social network” was led by Ayeyarwady Bank Managing Director (digital) U Chit Tun Pe with Myanmar Police Force Cyber Crime Department head Police Colonel Nyunt Wai, Dawei Special Economic Zone Management Committee’s Legal Advisory member U Min Tezar Nyunt Tin, Telenor Myanmar Head of Corporate Responsibility Daw Khin Pyae Wun Thawda, Ooredoo Myanmar Head of Corporate U Tin Naing Htut, Ministry of Transport and Communications National Cyber Security Center director U Ye Naing Moe and cyber security expert Ko Bon Myint (Mike) participating in the discussion.

During the forum information technology experts also conducted discussions under the titles of “Business & IT/Policy Advocacy,” “MPT: Supporting Digital Literacy in Myanmar,” “Global Partnership for Digital Literacy,” “Digital Literacy,” and “Unicode Migration Presentation.”
