21 people returning from seven townships in Yangon where semi-lockdown is imposed were placed under observation at a high school that was diverted into a facility quarantine center in Einme Township, Ayeyawady Region.
“A team comprising employees from the Department of Health, Depart of Fire Services, and the township health supportive committee have already made necessary preparations to put the returnees under observation at a high school that was turned inti a facility quarantine center since September 1, said, Dr Myo Kyaw Aung, an official from the township Department of Public Health.
Their movement is restricted and swab samples would be taken from them twice for medical examination. A checkpoint was set up at an entrance to Einme town and people coming back from Yangon and Rakhine State would be sent to quarantine center. We are also conducting check as to whether locals wear face masks when they go outside, he added.
21 people returned from Thingangyun, Insein, North Okkalapa, Thakayta, Hlaing, Pazundaung, and Mingaladon Townships in Yangon Region and Rakhine State are being quarantined in Einme high school.
