21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners Conference and Symposium held

The 21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners Conference and Symposium on Myanmar Traditional Medicine Science were held at the Myanmar International Convention Centre II in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

 

Chairman of the Leading Committee on Organizing the 21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners Conference and Symposium on Myanmar Traditional Medicine Science Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win chaired the conference, and Sub-committee Chairman Director-General of the Traditional Medicine Department Dr Su Su Dwe, Chairman of the Advisory Board on Traditional Medicine Professor Dr U Meik, Myanmar Traditional Medicine Council Patron U Myint Lwin and Vice-Chairman U Paw Nyein acted as panellists.

 

The Union minister delivered the opening speech.

 

Afterwards, Representative Daw Ar Sa Mi from Kachin State and Representative U Saw Hla Htoo Kyaw from Mon State submitted their proposals and conference representatives from Mandalay Region and Magway Region seconded the proposals.

 

In the afternoon, Chairman of the Working Committee on Organizing the 21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners Conference and Symposium on Myanmar Traditional Medicine Science Deputy Minister Dr Aye Tun chaired the second session of the conference, and Director-General Dr Su Su Dwe, Myanmar Traditional Medicine Council Chairman U Myint Oo, MTMC Patron U Myint Lwin, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board on Traditional Medicine U Than Nyunt and ABTM member U Wa Tun acted as panellists.

 

Then, Representative U Zaw Lin from Shan State, Representative U Han Nyein from Bago Region, and Representative U Thaik Tun from Magway Region put forward their proposals and representatives from Yangon Region, Chin State and Rakhine State seconded the proposals.

 

Next, the video message to the conference and symposium by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing was put on record.

 

The conference approved the instructions in the opening speech of Patron of the Leading Committee on Organizing the 21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners Conference and Symposium on Myanmar Traditional Medicine Science SAC Vice-Chair Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win called on all those concerned to perceive the points in the SAC Chairman’s speech as work guidelines. — MNA/CT
