22 people were injured after a passenger bus overturned on the Yangon-Pathein Road in Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region, according to a source from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The accident took place when a passenger bus driven by a man identified as Aung Moe Thant, 39 years old flipped over between mileposts 61/4 and 61/5 on the Yangon-Pathein Road in Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region at about 2:05 p.m. on 27 October after the driver lost control of the vehicle. 22 passengers were hurt in the incident.
Among the injured people, a woman named Ma Thazin Aung was seriously injured. The injured were transferred to a nearby rural hospital and the driver is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.
