Myitkyina, 5 November
A 22-year-old driver was electrocuted to death in Myitkyina, the capital city of Kachin State on 3 November, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The accident occurred when a driver identified as Kyan Kyaung (aka) Myo Tun Naing together with his colleague Phoe Chit, 17 years old was unloading steel rods from the vehicle with the use of a crane. The upper part of the crane hit a power line and caught fire. The driver was killed with fire burns and his coworker was injured in the incident.
The corpse of the driver and the injured teen were sent to a public hospital in Myitkyina and an investigation into the case is ongoing by the police.
