Ingapu, 14 September
The Department of Fisheries under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation held a fish planting ceremony at the Kanyin Creek in Pantin Village in the Ingapu Township, Ayeyawady Region for preventing the extinction of fish species this morning.
At the event, U Soe Paing, staff officer of Hinthada District Fisheries Department Daw Aye Myint Oo from Myan Aung District Fisheries Department, Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Aung Kyaw Moe and members, township level departmental officials, members of the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association and Women’s affairs federation and locals jointly released a total of 260000 fingerlings into the creek to further preserve the biodiversity of the Kanyin Creek.
The planting of fingerlings is the second of its kind in village in 2022-2023 fiscal year.—Man Kyaw (IPRD)
