Taungoo, 3 October
Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle in Taungoo, Bago Region, according to a source from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The accident took place between mileposts 160/1 and 160/2 on the Yangon-Mandalay Road near Ward-9 in Taungoo at about 3 a.m. on 1 October. A motorcycle with three men collided with a car coming from an opposite direction and the motorist fled the scene of accident. Three motorcyclists died on the spot and their bodies were sent to a public hospital in Taungoo.
An investigation into the case is ongoing to take action against the motorist who is still at large by the local police.
