THE Myanmar Golf Federation hosted the second day and award ceremony of the 39th Junior Golf Myanmar (JGM) Championship on 21 May at the Myanmar Golf Club in Nine Mile, Yangon.

 

After the tournament, the award ceremony was held with opening remarks delivered by Myanmar Golf Federation Pres­ident U Aung Kyi. As a sign of appreciation, commemorative gifts were presented to the My­anmar Golf Club for hosting the event, and to Kings International School and HAN Golf Master Pte Ltd, which contributed gifts for the players. The gifts were hand­ed over by the federation’s Joint Secretary General and JGM Chairman U Myint Aung and received by Myanmar Golf Club Secretary U San Lwin, Kings International School Business Development Manager Laurel and HAN Golf Master Director U Aung Htun Oo.

 

JGM Joint Secretary U My­int Zaw then presented awards to three players who showed strong effort over the two-day competition: Phone Myint Myat San, Chit Khun Thi Aung and Su Yati Htet.

 

In the under-12 boys cate­gory, JGM Secretary U Kyaw Min Min Lat awarded bronze to Kaung Khant Zaw with 228 strokes, silver to Aung Soe Htun with 192 strokes and gold to Htoo Myat Aung with 151 strokes.

 

For the under-12 girls, JGM Executive Daw Su Yamin award­ed bronze to Yadana Aung (207 strokes), silver to Thiri Khine Zaw (200 strokes), and gold to Choi Hui (176 strokes).

In the under-18 girls’ cate­gory, Myanmar Golf Club Vice- Chair U Aung Khine presented bronze to Hnin Shwe Yee Win (191 strokes), silver to Su Hnin Phyu (157 strokes), and gold to Cho Thar Aung (153 strokes).

 

In the under-14 boys’ catego­ry, Myanmar Golf Club Chairman U Aye Ko Ko Soe awarded bronze to Kyaw Than Lwin Hein (161 strokes), silver to Naing Oo Ko (159 strokes), and gold to Aung Thant Htut (157 strokes).

 

Lastly, Myanmar Golf Fed­eration President U Aung Kyi presented awards in the un­der-18 boys category, giving bronze to Khant Phone Hlyan (160 strokes), silver to Choi Hwan (159 strokes), and gold to Kaung Htet (155 strokes).
