4 Myanmar undocumented workers expelled from Thailand

Tachilek, 31 January

Thai immigration officials transferred four Myanmar migrant workers to Myanmar officials at the No.2 Friendship Bridge in Tachilek, Eastern Shan State yesterday afternoon.

The Myanmar undocumented workers were detained for working and residing in Thailand illegally without proper documents. Myanmar authorities from the General Administration Department, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Anti-Human Trafficking Police Force and the Caring and Negotiating Committee for Myanmar Citizens (CNCMC), a Mai Sai-based welfare society helped the migrant workers return their homes in a safe and secure manner.
