48 Myanmar citizens reportedly came back home from Thailand via Kawkareik Township, Kayin State at about 8 p.m. on 8 June.
The returnees were accommodated at the office of the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department for one night. A medical team led by Township Medical Superintendent Dr Kyaw Htike Soe collected samples from the returnees for coronavirus test.
Township Administrator U San Nu, concerned officials, policemen, and members of the township level COVID-19 control and prevention committee urged the returnees to put themselves at community based quarantine in their native before sending them home.
