A total of 492 Myanmar migrant workers returned home through the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge No 2 in Myawady Border yesterday amidst COVID-19.
Kayin State Hluttaw Representative U Thant Zin Aung, Myawady District Administrator U Tay Zar Aung and local authorities helped the returnees with medical tests and other supplies.
A total of 68,158 Myanmar citizens have returned home so far since 1May. Local authorities are closely supervising the process of accepting the returnees in line with the COVID-19 fighting guidelines. The latest group of returnees included 317 males and 175 females from different regions and states.
