Five people were killed and three others injured after a vehicle plunged into a ravine in Khaunglanphu Township, Kachin State, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
    

The accident took place on the Khaunglanphu-Putao Road near Ngawlone Village, Khaunglanphu Township at about 12:30 a.m. on 28 November. A vehicle with eight people driven by a man named Johnny, 25 years old plummeted into a 200-ft gorge and the driver managed to escape from the scene of accident.
    

Five people—two men and three women—have died on the spot and three people were injured in the incident. The corpses and injured people were sent to a public hospital. An investigation into the case is ongoing by the police.—MOHA
