Yangon will host the first hot air balloon festival, in which 500 hot air balloons will be released on 11 November, the day of the fullmoon of Tazaungmon in Inya Lake, Yangon.

“It is the first time to celebrate the hot air balloon festival in Yangon. Everyone can enjoy the lighting festival and hot air balloon festival in Inya Lake”, said Ma Cho Zin, an official from Fortune TV.

A total of 500 hot air balloons are to be released at the same time on 11 November, from 7-8 pm. The Tazaungdaing lighting festival will be held over three days, from 9 to 11 November in Inya Lake, and the entertainment programmes are to include music.
