A total of 5,948 acres of summer paddy in Kwinkaut village-tract are being supplied with water from Nankathu Dam in Ingapu, Hinthada District, Ayeyawady Region. The reservoir began to release water from 25 December, according to Office of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department.
The dam has been supplying water to the summer paddy through the three main canals for 15 years. The officials from the department are in the process of maintaining embankments and water supply facilities. –Mann Kyaw (IPRD)
