A total of 55 Myanmar seamen who signed off from the ships anchored in the Andaman Sea arrived in Kawthoung on 7 October evening and are currently kept under hotel quarantine.
 

Out of 55 seamen, 3 signed off from MV Horizon-9 of India, 16 from MV Hupeh of Singapore, another 16 from MT CT Frontier of Singapore and 20 from MV Green Bay of Bangladesh.
 

The local officials of jetty and health departments helped them with medical tests and other supplies and put under 14-day hotel quarantine, while their swabs will be sent to the National Health Laboratory of Yangon.
 

These 55 Myanmar seafarers had swapped duties with 4 seafarers including Captain U Zin Linn Pyae for MV Horizon-9, with 16 seafarers including Captain U Linn Zaw Latt for MV Hupeh, with 16 seafarers including Captain U Aung Win Tun for MT CT Frontier and with 18 seafarers including Captain U Wai Linn Aung for MV Green Bay. —Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
