58 Myanmar who served prison term in Thailand for breaching offenses citizens returned to motherland from Thailand through No.2 Friendship Bridge in Tachilek, Shan State on July 20.
The returnees were welcomed by Township Administrator U Chan Myae Saw and concerned officials. Upon their arrival at the border checkpoint, the returnees were conducted medical checkups and got temperature check by health officials. Medical examination for swab from the returnees may take five days or one week.
The returnees would be quarantined at Mogok Meditation Center and they will be returned to the homes after taking sample from them, according to the deputy commissioner.—Yar Say (IPRD)
