THE Myanmar Rice Federation stated that it coordinated rice export matters, including falling rice prices with counterparts from Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam and participated in SS Rice News Network discussions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 5-6 March 2025.
A delegation led by MRF President U Ye Min Aung, accompanied by 23 representatives, attended the events. Participants elaborated on falling rice prices and cooperation to regain momentum in the market with competitive pricing and to cope with the financial stress of farmers in the four rice exporting countries, reducing input cost and getting access to adequate irrigation water, loans and pedigree seeds. They decided to accelerate collaborative efforts.
