The 72nd anniversary of Union Day was held at Independence Monument Ground in Demoso this morning.

At the ceremony, attendees gave salute to the national flag and the township administrator U Nyan Hlaing read the message sent by President U Win Myint for the 72nd anniversary of Union Day.

Afterwards, sports meets and coloring contests of preschool level were held and winners were awarded by officials. Meanwhile, pamphlets on commemoration of 72nd Union Day were disseminated to attendees by the Information and Public Relations Department.

Present on the occasion were departmental personnel, social organizations, students and local residents.
