Pyin Oo Lwin, 12 February
With the aim increasing patriotism, strengthening national unity, coming out democratic federal union and boosting the socioeconomic development the citizens, the 73rd Union Day was held at the field of independence monument on Mandalay-Lashio Road in Pyin Oo Lwin at 5:30 am today.
First, the attendees gave a salute to the national flag and fallen martyrs and Acting District Administrator read a message sent by President U Win Myint to mark 73rd anniversary of Union Day. Then the officials presented prizes to those who won the competitions to mark the 73rd Union Day.
Present on the occasion were MPs of Regional Hluttaw, District and Township Departmental personnel, members of Management Committee and political parties, Ward Administrators, members of social organizations and local residents.
