The Department of Fisheries held a fish planting ceremony at the Ma-U Creek in Dagon Township (East), Yangon Region, for preventing the extinction of fish species this morning.

 

At the event, U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of Yangon Region Fisheries Department delivered a speech and discussed matters relating to a fish releasing ceremony.

 

Afterwards, U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of the Region Fisheries Department, member of the Township Administration Council Major Thet Zaw and members, the Township level officials, community leaders and staff from the Township Fisheries Department jointly released a total of 750000 fingerlings including 250000 Shwengakyin and 500000 ngakhunma into the creek to further preserve the biodiversity of the Ma-u Creek.—Win Ei Mon(IPRD)
