The 76th Anniversary of Union Day 2023 was observed at the assembly ground of the Hluttaw in front of the People's Square on Yangon's Pyay Road at 7:30 am yesterday morning.

Yangon Region Govern­ment Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, Yangon Region cabinet members, the Chief Justice of the Region High Court, the Advocate-General of the re­gion, the Auditor-General of the region, military officers, departmental officials, ethnic people and invited guests at­tended the event.

First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein took the salute of the Guard of Honour and saluted the State flag to­gether with attendees.

Next, the Yangon Region Chief Minister read the mes­sage sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior Gen­eral Tadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the 76th Anni­versary of Union Day ceremo­ny 2023. —Ko Ko Zaw (MNA)/ KZL
