Eight people were injured after a six-wheeled truck overturned in Myaing Township, Magway Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.


The accident occurred between mileposts 412/3 and 412/4 on the Pathein-Monywa Road near Kantaw Village in Myaing Township at about 6:30 p.m. on 17 November. A six-wheeled truck driven by a man identified as Win Aung, 45 years old flipped over after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Eight people were hurt in the incident. Among the injured people, three people sustained severe injuries and have been sent to a public hospital in Myaing.


The accident is attributed due to the faculty braking system of the vehicle. The truck driver is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.—MOHA
