Mongphyat 4 December

A speeding motorcar caught fire after overturning on the Mongphyat-Tachilek Road in Mongphyat Township, Shan State.

The accident occurred near milepost 715/500 on the Mongphyat-Tachilek Road in Mongphyat Township at about 4:30 p.m. on 3 December. Policemen from Myoma solice station received a phone call about the incident on the Mongphyat-Tachilek Road near Namt Kham Taung Village, Wanglone village-tract at about 4 p.m. on 3 December. Policemen rushed to the scene of accident found that a car plunged into a 7 ft. deep ravine and caught fire.

The cause of accident is still unknown and the police launched an investigation into the case in order to arrest the driver of car.—Than Tun Aye (IPRD)
