A ceremony to launch measles vaccination was held at the rural health center in Pawdawmu village in Thaton township, Mon state this morning. First, township administrator U Saw Nyi Nyi Htwe made a speech. Then, Dr Than Oo, head of the township Health Department explained vaccination programs.
Then, the township administrator and party encouraged health staff, parents and their children involving in vaccination campaign. Children from 9-month old to five and a half years old in 234 townships will be given measles vaccination from 26th to 28th November this year.
In Thaton township, a total of 23470 children will receive measles immunization shots in 232 assembly points, according to the township Public Health Department.—Thet Oo (Thaton)
