The closing ceremony of an advanced tailoring course was held at the meeting room of the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in Tamu, Sagaing Region on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Daw Ngwe Ngwe Tun, Staff Officer from the DRD said that the vocational training course was conducted with the aim of creating job opportunities for rural people, increasing their per capita income, ensuring gender equality and promoting the role of women. Afterwards, she presented completion certificates and sewing materials to the trainees.

A total of 20 trainees throughout the township were given practical and theoretical training during the three-week course.—Myo Win Nyo (Kyunhla)
