A ceremony to conclude an advanced sewing course was held yesterday at the meeting hall of the Township Rural Development Department in Tamu, Sagaing Region.

The main purpose of the course is to create job opportunities, to generate more per-capita income, gender equality and to boost women sector in rural areas,  said staff officer of the Township Rural Development Department Daw Nwe Nwe Tun.

This was followed by the presentation of completion certificates and sewing equipment to trainees.

The course which was from 5 to 26 March was attended by 20 trainees from the Township.—Myo Win (Kyunhla)
