With the aim of boosting the income of rural women and their socio-economic status, the township Department of Rural Development opened an advanced sewing course in Sanda Village, Paungbyin Township, Mawlaik District, Sagaing Region yesterday.

Firstly, MP of regional Hluttaw U Maung Maung Lat and the township Acting Administrator U Nyi Nyi Saw gave speeches. Then, an official from the DRD clarified the purpose of the training course and handed over teaching aids to officials.

The training course which will run from December 20 to January 31 is being attended by 15 trainees.—Ko Tun(Paungbyin)
