DIRECTORS- GENERAL and officials from the Forest Department, Environmental Conservation Department, and Land Records Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, and the Department of Agriculture, departed from Nay Pyi Taw Airport on 6 April by air and arrived in Kengtung of Shan State (East).
They flew over the areas of Kengtung and Tachilek districts to ensure the land use, reduction of fire hotspots and haze pollution together with the chairman of the Shan State (East) management and administrative committee and the Kengtung district administrator.
At noon, directors-general attended the awareness talk on reducing transboundary haze pollution, which was held at the Kengtung City Hall, and discussed various topics.
In the evening, a similar talk show was held at the Training School for Development of Nationalities Youth from Border Areas in Loimoi of Kengtung.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation makes efforts in Kengtung and Tachilek districts of Shan State (East) to increase forest coverage, promote greening, conserve watershed forests and natural resources, and reduce transboundary haze pollution.
