Yenangyaung Township Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (Branch) is dispensing agricultural loans for winter crops to farmers in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region, according to an official from the MADB (Branch).


Under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports, the bank is disbursing agricultural loans to the farmers starting from November 11. A total of 960 farmers in nine village-tracts were disbursed K 326.75 million for their 3100 acres of winter crops.


The bank dispenses agricultural loans at a rate of K 150,000 per acre of paddy field and K 100,000 per acre of other crops. In this winter season, it is estimated to disburse over K 420 million of loans to a total of 1574 farmers in 10 village-tracts.


Last year, the bank disbursed a total of K 397.3 million of agricultural loans to farmers for their 3623 acres of winter crops.
