THE closing ceremony of the meeting on Agriculture and Economic Development with business leaders from five countries organized by the My­anmar-India Friendship and Development Association took place at the Esperado Lake View Hotel in Yangon yesterday.

 

Association Chairman U Zaw Zaw Naing and Mr Fmr Genesan Arunasiam first played the video clips featuring activi­ties of the association in local and foreign countries and ag­riculture and livestock farming sectors.

 

Mr Fmr Genesan Arunasi­am, Mr S Gunasekaran, Chief Executive Officer of Myanmar Tourism Bank U Win Lwin, Dr Ashish K Kandhway, Mr Ravin­dra Jain, Mr Noresh Kumas and Rajeev Rawal from the Indian Embassy to Myanmar briefed matters related to agriculture and business sectors.

 

Attendees then posed for the documentary photo.

 

The meeting was attended by officials from the Indian Em­bassy to Myanmar, the Russian Embassy, the Nepali Embassy and foreign embassies, business people from Myanmar, India, Canada, Singapore and Ma­laysia, the Myanmar Tourism Bank, the Myanmar Construc­tion Entrepreneurs Association and local business people.

 

The next similar meetings will be in May in Malaysia, in India from 22 to 24 August, and in Myanmar in December. — MNA/KTZH
